Audition Requirements
All ethnicities are welcome. Prepare a one– minute song. An accompanist will be provided. Bring sheet music or background tracks on your device. A speaker will be provided. Be prepared to dance. A shorter combination will be taught for the “movers” and an extended combination will be taught for the “dancers”. Ladies bring character shoes. If you tap, bring your tap shoes.

Show Synopsis
Seeking fame and fortune, precocious teenager, Frank Abagnale, Jr., runs away from home to begin an unforgettable adventure. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer – living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. When Frank’s lies catch the attention of FBI agent, Carl Hanratty, though, Carl pursues Frank across the country to make him pay for his crimes. Based on the hit film and the incredible true story, Catch Me If You Can is a high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams and not getting caught.
Character Descriptions
FRANK ABAGNALE, JR.-Male (18-25): Protagonist must look young, cunning, con artist, quick, savvy, handsome, charismatic. Must move well. Vocal range: G2-C5.
CARL HANRATTY-Male (35-55): Cunning, prides himself on his work, determined, analytical, seems street smart, workaholic, lonely. His work is his love affair. Must move well. Vocal range: G2-G4.
FRANK ABAGNALE, SR.-Male (40-60): Conman, fast talking, New Yorker, undergoes a series of failures that leads him to drinking but proud of his son, loves his wife and son fiercely. Must move well. Vocal range: F2-G#4
PAULA ABAGNALE- Female (35-50): A beautiful woman from France. Married Frank Sr. young and is no longer enamored of his cons. Dancer or former dancer. Vocal Range: A3-C5.
BRENDA STRONG-Female (18-25): A hard working really smart top of her class young nurse. Insecure at first but Frank helps her find her confidence. Conflicted once the truth about Frank is revealed. She’s Frank’s true love. Must move well. Vocal Range: G3-A5.
CAROL STRONG-Female (40-60): Brenda’s ostentatious, protective, loving mother. Big personality. Big belt. (Will play other roles in Act 1). Good Mover. Vocal Range: Bb3-A5.
ROGER STRONG-Male (40-60): Brenda’s father. A Big Daddy lawyer type from New Orleans but a softy at heart. (Will play other parts in Act 1). Good mover. Vocal Range: A2-F4 (Optional A4).
CHERYL ANN-Female (30-45) Former model now high paid prostitute. (Will play other parts)
AGENT BRANTON-Male (35-50) Second in command to Agent Hanratty. Seasoned agent that drinks a bit. A little worn around the edges. Must move well
AGENT COD- Gender Open (20-35) Nervous nerdy numbers guy. Must move well.
AGENT DOLLAR- Gender Open (20-35) Rookie trigger happy agent. Eager to catch the bad guy. Must Move well.
STEWARDESSES (Mindy, Cindy, Lindy, Kellie, Shellie, Nellie, Sherrie and Jane)/ Nurses/Party Goers: Females (16-30) Strong dancers and singers with lots of charisma. Tap dancing a plus.
