It’s 1935 – and the Great Depression is upon us. In fair Verona, Mississippi, where we lay our scene, despair has deepened the generational hate between the Montague and Capulet families. But it’s Romeo and Juliet’s youthfulness and unbridled love for each other that provides the hope for a new beginning.
