Show Synopsis
The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in this frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium.
Character Descriptions
Beetlejuice
The GHOST with the most. This titular character is zany, spooky, and absolutely hilarious. Though Beetlejuice exists in a morally gray area, he’s more of a trickster than a malevolent threat. He is lonely and really just wants a BFFFF forever. Very moody and prone to fits of rage. Improv skills & experience is a bonus!

Lydia Deetz
Whip-smart, grieving teen whose dark sense of humor helps her cope with the loss of her mother. Lydia is unfazed by Beetlejuice’s antics and can easily hold her own against both him and all things Netherworld. Wants to be seen… especially by her father.

Charles Deetz
Lydia’s father. Grieving the loss of his wife in his own way, by ignoring it and trying to do what is “best” for Lydia. He means well, but is under a lot of pressure between work, his concerns over Lydia, and his secret relationship with Delia.

Adam Maitland
Devoted husband of Barbara who just can’t catch a break. Oblivious, naive, and full of “dad” energy. He was 80% ready for life when he died.

Barbara Maitland
Devoted wife of Adam who was unsure if she was ready for a basic life and kids. Death puts a hold on that question until she meets Lydia and instantly bonds with her. Adventurous, strong-willed, a quick thinker, and a motherly protector.

Delia Schlimmer
Hopelessly – and cluelessly – optimistic. Keeps a tough face in public, but through her façade, she’s quite fragile and desperately wants to fit in. She wants a family that will not leave her and genuinely cares about Charlies and Lydia, even if she is way out of her league and comfort zone.

Sky the Girl Scout
A young Girl Scout with a heart condition. Optimistic and a bright light in the darkness.

Maxie Dean
A business tycoon whom Charles hopes to impress. Has ego to spare.

Maxine Dean
Non-singing Role
Maxie’s fourth (or fifth) wife. Clueless and accidentally funny.
Juno
