Please prepare one 32-bar cut of a pop or musical theatre song in the style of the show. Come prepared with either well-marked sheet music of your cut or an accompaniment-only track cued to your cut and a Bluetooth speaker. Wi-Fi at the theatre can be unpredictable, so please download your track to your device. We will also have short readings from the script and a dance audition – please bring appropriate shoes/clothes for the dance audition. If available, please bring a headshot and resume.

Plot Summary:
Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?

Show Synopsis

Character Descriptions
PLEASE NOTE: Review the age specifics listed for each role. This production will have youth and adult performers. The gender listed is the gender in which the character is presented. Some actors will play more than one role. All roles are open to anyone regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, class, caste, religion, belief, gender, language, sexual orientation or gender identity.
Mal (F, 16-18) – Our hero and Maleficent’s daughter. Under her hardened, sarcastic exterior, she has a sense of justice and a heart of gold. Vocal range: D5 to G3
Evie (F, 14-18) – The Evil Queen Grimhilde’s daughter. She hides her brilliance behind a superficial, image-obsessed attitude. Vocal range: D5 to G3
Jay (M, 14-18) – Jafar’s son—an outwardly arrogant thief. He conceals a strategic, collaborative nature. Vocal range: G4 to Eb3
Carlos (M, 12-18) – Cruella de Vil’s son. Despite a fear of dogs and just about everything else, he has the capacity to be brave and kind. Vocal range: G4 to Eb3
Maleficent (F, 30+) – The infamous evil fairy. She is a profoundly selfish absentee parent with an unquenchable taste for vengeance. Vocal range: D5 to A3
**Grimhilde (F, 25+) – Snow White’s wicked adversary. An aging beauty queen, she is still desperate to be the fairest of them all. Vocal range: B4 to B3
**Jafar (M, 25+) – Aladdin’s nemesis. He is a slimy, washed-up crime lord desperate for a way back to the top. Vocal range: E4 to B2
**Cruella de Vil (F, 25+) – A Dalmatian-loving dog-snatcher. She is an obsessive, eccentric, and overbearing helicopter mom. Vocal range: B4 to B3
Ben (M, 16-18) – Son of the Beast and Belle. He is a classically regal, optimistic kid who bears the weight of soon becoming King of Auradon. Vocal range: Bb4 to Ab2
**King Beast (M, 25+) – Ben’s father and King of Auradon. Royal and rule-driven, he knows a bit about being marginalized.
**Queen Belle (F, 25+) – Ben’s mother and Queen of Auradon. Warm, but cautious, she doesn’t understand her son’s generation.
Fairy Godmother (F, 25+) – Headmistress of Auradon Prep. Busy and bubbly, she’ll do anything to keep the school afloat. Vocal range top: D5 to D4
Jane (F, 12-18) – Fairy Godmother’s daughter. Meek and mousy, but hungry for attention, she’s looking for her moment to shine. Vocal range top: D5 to E4
Chad (M, 14-18) – Cinderella and Prince Charming’s son. An arrogant and spoiled blockhead, he’s never wanted for anything. Vocal range top: D4 to B2
Audrey (F, 14-18) – Sleeping Beauty’s daughter. The malicious queen bee of Auradon Prep, she has her eye on the throne. Vocal range top: B4 to A3
Doug (M, 14-18) – Dopey’s son. Nerdy and sweet, he does all the work that his fellow students don’t want to do. Vocal range top: E4 to C4
**Royal Page (M or F, youth or adult) – Auradonian messenge, enormously nervous.
**Royal Guard (M or F, youth or adult) – Museum employee, less than vigilant.
**Maurice (M, 40+) – Chemistry teacher and Belle’s father. He is kooky and stuck in his ways.
**Coach (M or F, 25+) – Tourney coach, resigned to the team’s mediocrity until meeting a surprise star player.
**Snow White (F, youth or adult) – Red carpet reporter. She is the voice of the masses.
**Ensemble (under 18) – Roles include: Isle Ensemble (including Smitten Kids 1 & 2), Auradonians (including Auradonians 1 & 2), Coronation Crowd (including Crowd Members 1, 2 & 3), Auradonian Choir
**Any of the starred roles may be combined with other parts in the play.
