High Street Arts Center

The High Street Arts Center has enjoyed a long and rich history as a source of culture and entertainment for the residents of Moorpark. Built in the 1920s, the building held the distinction of being the first "talking movie" theatre in all of Ventura County -- as well as several other businesses (including a junk shop) -- before transforming into the famous Magnificent Moorpark Melodrama & Vaudeville Co. of the '80s and '90s. In 2005, the now-renovated theatre was bought by the City of Moorpark, which has turned it into a cultural arts center for the community.

Santa Paula Theater Center

The Santa Paula Theater Center has been providing a first-class local theater experience to Ventura County since 1985. Founded by actor Bill Lucking and actor/director Dana Eclar, the SPTC was born out of a series of acting workshops held in Santa Paula, after which the need for a year-round theatrical venue was more fully appreciated. Focusing almost exclusively on nonmusical productions, the SPTC is proud to offer the community both family-friendly and more adult/non-traditional works.
